Mole screening:

Do you need your moles checking? Are you concerned about a changing mole? Have you got several moles that are difficult to see and you would like to keep an eye on? I offer mole screening and mapping. I use a dermatoscope to look very closely at the skin. It takes an image which is stored on your secure file and can be shared with your NHS GP or dermatologist. The images are all screened by a dermatology specialist GP who can also perform skin surgery and biopsies if needed. The dermatoscope provides a clearer magnified image that enables us to see the details of the skin structure, so we can confidently exclude skin cancer. If the mole is suspicious for a skin cancer or if we cannot confidently exclude a skin cancer then we would advise referral to a dermatologist for further assessment. This can be through the NHS by sharing the notes and requesting an NHS referral from your NHS GP, or by referring to a private dermatology specialist of your choice.
