Can you give me an example of what medication is available?​

Wegovy®

• Wegovy® contains an FDA approved medication called Semaglutide

• Semaglutide is licenced to treat type-2 diabetes under the brand name Ozempic® and obesity under the brand name Wegovy®

• Saxenda®, Wegovy® and Mounjaro® are the only licenced injectable prescription medicines currently available for the treatment of obesity in the UK

• A simple injection is self-administered weekly with an easy-to-use pen that is pre-filled with the medication

• Each pen lasts 4 weeks

Mounjaro®

• Mounjaro® contains an FDA approved medication called Tirzepatide

• Tirzepatide is licenced to treat type-2 diabetes and obesity
